Today is a local Vegan Festival and I’m really looking forward to tucking into some delicious grub.

Now I am often asked the importance of following a Plant based diet in terms of our Spiritual Development.

Personally I have been Vegan for 6 years now and before that Vegetarian for 8.

I found it came naturally to me and I certainly haven’t felt I have missed out on anything.

I feel awesome, have great energy levels and maintain them for long periods of time. I love how I feel!

But that’s not just down to my diet and to suggest Veganism is the path to any kind of growth is misguided.

We all have different journeys and its important to explore them.

Giving something, well anything up because of pressure from others be it friends or communities creates more stress.

Which is an issue we really need to be exploring for it stops our growth in so many ways.

Its also worth pointing out some of the great spiritual teachers of the world including Eckhart Tolle and the Dalia Lama eat meat and it doesn’t seem to of affected their development.

It’s one of the many reasons I meditate as often as I do. So I can make the right decisions for myself and every single day I feel I’m doing just that and I just love it!!

Anyway on that note time to eat!!!

Andre is a fantastic meditation teacher, so genuine and truly has an understanding of the challenges around building a regular meditation routine into a busy schedule (I work as a doctor and have been able to find a routine including during shift work!). Having practiced Transcendental Meditation for a number of years now plus regularly attending Andre’s meditation events (Online Sessions, Retreat’s and TM Saturdays), I can honestly say the benefits in terms of processing stress, being calmer and more in touch with everyday joy are real. Would certainly recommend doing a meditation course with Andre.
