Reduced stress
Meditation has been shown to reduce stress through a variety of mechanisms. When we meditate, we enter a state of relaxation, which can help to lower our heart rate and blood pressure. Meditation can also help us to reduce the levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol, in our body.
Additionally we can reduce the impact of stressful thoughts and feelings. Over time, a regular meditation practice can also help to strengthen our ability to manage stress and in doing so naturally cultivate a sense of inner calm and peace.
